Update anyone?

So long story short, I hit the wrong button and it erased all of my blog posts I had written thus far.

Bummer.

But that’s okay! It gives me a reason to update you guys on everything!

I now have SEVEN published children’s books to date! (psst. they are all available for purchase through Amazon in the tab up top)!

I thought I would go through each book, what the topic is, and why I wrote it so that anyone who is looking at purchasing one of my books will understand just how much of my heart is in them.

First up… Leonard Meets the Acres!

This is the very first book I published! It is sort of the introduction into the Abby’s Acres series, and is the story of Leonard coming to the farm. He meets Mrs. Abby and Mr. Jack, befriends the animals, and learns the meaning of friendship. It is a great story to begin the school year with, when nerves are high and littles are meeting new people!

Second… Itchy Learns a Lesson!

This book is one of my best selling! The story of Itchy, the miniature donkey, and how he feels like he doesn’t fit in with the horses on the farm. He learns that just because his job is different, doesn’t mean its not as important or valuable. This book also teaches the importance of apologizing when you hurt someone’s feelings.

Third up… Pickles and Her Ears!

This is another good seller! This book follows Pickles the Bassett Hound and her issue of gossip. She just can’t seem to help telling everyone’s secrets! It’s a great book to explain how our words can affect others, and how we need to say “I’m sorry” when we talk about others. It also covers how to accept an apology kindly.

Fourth on roster… Sherman Meets Brewster!

This book is one of my favorites! Brewster is a handicapped weenie dog that lived in Hot Springs, Ar. He has wheels for legs, and with permission from his owners, I made him the star of my book! This story tackles the hard topic of preparing littles to be around children with handicaps, as well as preparing littles with handicaps how nervous other children may be simply because they have never been around that before. This is another wonderful book to begin the school year with. It teaches empathy, compassion, and understanding for both characters.

Number five is… Skipper Comes Home!

This is the newest book in the Abby’s Acres series! it tackles the topic of PTSD with the help of Skipper, the retired racehorse, and Pop, my retired Navy veteran grandfather. I wanted a book for children of veterans or active duty soldiers, to make it easier to understand why their loved ones may come home acting different or seem distant.

Number six is… Aloura’s Odyssey!

Now this book, is my heart book. It is my first ever chapter book, and the book that I see myself the most in. This story is an Appalachian tale that captures your heart with whimsy and magic. Aloura is a young girl born into a family that doesn’t love her or accept her, so she goes on a quest through the forest to find love and acceptance with a spell she found in her mother’s old chest. She meets several unlikely friends along the way, who help her see that her quest may not end the way she thinks.

Number 7, the most recently published, is… The Little Farmer’s Collection: A Day at the Sale Barn

This is the first book in my new series that focuses heavily on agriculture education. Every book will be another day in agriculture, and the stars of the show are Mack and Maddie. This story follows our little farmers to the sale barn where they bid and take home their bottle calves. It’s a weekly thing for those in the cattle industry, and the perfect first book to begin this series!

WHEW!
